HISTORY

Having started his business in 1980, Michał Bożek, the sole owner of Ustronianka, has offered the highest quality mineral water.

Bożek continues over a 70 year long tradition, started in 1933 when the first mineral water and beverage production plant was opened in the area of Ustroń. The water was extracted from a well located in Ustroń at the foot of the mountains of Silesian Beskid. Manual production allowed to fill in 20 glass bottles per hour. The bottles, packed into wooden crates, would be later on distributed over the area of Wisła, Żywiec and Koniaków.

Since the production plant was established, Michał Bożek has consequently acquired new clients, successively introduced new products into the company’s portfolio and increased production capacity. This let the company open the second bottling plant in Ustroń. In 1994, in the area of the lag of Park Krajobrazowy Beskidu Śląskiego (the Silesian Beskids Lanscape Park) the production of water and fruit beverages began. New workshops were built, which made it possible for the company to extract, bottle and store water in optimum conditions. 1994 also saw the set up of a production plant in Biała near Prudnik, which was a next step in the development of Ustronianka. This investment enabled the company to open a modern bottling plant located at the foot of the Opawskie Mountains. The plant employs 150 people and takes pride in an extensive and powerful machine park.

In 2000, Ustronianka took over Czantoria Production Plant (established in 1963) in Ustroń. Two years later, in 2002, the production plant no 2 in Ustroń Jelenica was completely reconstructed and rebuilt. As a result, modern office spaces, new warehouse hall and production hall with mineral water and beverage bottling lines were built. Currently, this production plant is one of the most technologically advanced and best equipped bottling infrastructures in Poland. In this way, over several years, this small water production plant has changed into a national company that employs half thousand people. Currently, Ustronianka owns three production plants and five gallon water distribution centres. Ustronianka is a fully Polish company which, according to the tradition established in 1933, maintains a family atmosphere.
